« My aesthetic ideal is to catch forms furtively created by the light that we don’t take care most of the time, and I want to express inspiration and harmony  existing in the light and the shades. Â» - François Imkil

Born in Seoul (South Korea) in 1959, Imkil formerly was an adept of hyperrealism and exclusively painted that. Henceforth the artist endeavours to paint with a remarkable sensibility the short and mundane moments of the life in order to reveal all their beauty.

From Montparnasse to the Pont des Arts, Imkil breathes life into his art works, with a ineffable brightness, an inexpressible darkness, a wonderful sensibility, immortalising the soul of Paris.

François Imkil depicts total ordinary situations and with warmth to illustrate all their intensity. Also the artist glorifies the immobility of our world, turning it into a stunning life.
